From bus electrification, to solar procurement and delivery, to network reviews and upgrades and downgrades, James knows the ins and outs of Australian, New Zealand and UK energy markets. He was part of the founding team for a NZ retailer and lead the commercialisation for bill validation and procurement software Run Your Own (RYO).
James is CEO of 4 Square Energy and leads the team’s strategy development and execution. He particularly enjoys finding new ways to help clients deliver their energy strategy requirements.

He held senior executive roles with Origin Energy including establishing Origin’s new brand architecture, leading 3 major acquisitions and integrating the customer bases, preparing for contestability, responsibility for sales ($3bn) and operations for the Origin Group.
Tim has also held CEO roles in solar, embedded networks and most recently a meter data solutions business. Tim is managing director and owner of Optima Technology, 4 Square’s energy data platform partner.
